Luiz’s Fable #3: Bigger isn’t always better

Once upon a time in a bustling forest, there were two consulting firms: the Mighty Elephant Group and the Clever Fox Boutique.

The Mighty Elephant Group was known far and wide. They had many elephants working for them, and their office was the grandest treehouse in the entire forest. Everyone who saw them marveled at their size and strength. However, the elephants were so busy that they often didn’t have time to pay attention to the smaller animals who needed help.

One day, a small, worried squirrel named Sammy needed help with storing his nuts for winter. He decided to visit the Mighty Elephant Group. He approached the massive treehouse and waited in line behind many other animals. Finally, when it was his turn, a big elephant named Edgar greeted him. Edgar was friendly but very busy.

"What can I do for you, little squirrel?" Edgar asked in a booming voice.

"I need help storing my nuts for winter," Sammy squeaked.

Edgar nodded but seemed distracted. He had so many other animals to help that he couldn’t focus on Sammy’s problem. He gave Sammy a big book of general advice and sent him on his way.

Sammy felt lost and overwhelmed by the big book. He wandered the forest until he came across the Clever Fox Boutique. The Clever Fox Boutique was a small, cozy burrow run by a wise fox named Fiona.

"Hello there, little squirrel! How can I help you today?" Fiona asked with a warm smile.

Sammy explained his problem, and Fiona listened carefully, nodding along. She invited Sammy inside her burrow, where it was quiet and calm. Fiona spent time understanding Sammy’s needs and gave him personalized advice on how to store his nuts.

She even showed him a clever way to use leaves and twigs to build a perfect nut storage. Sammy felt happy and relieved. He followed Fiona’s advice and soon had the best nut storage in the forest.

Winter came, and Sammy had plenty of nuts to eat. He was so grateful to Fiona and told all his friends about the Clever Fox Boutique. The other animals, who had felt ignored by the Mighty Elephant Group, started visiting Fiona too.

Soon, Fiona’s small burrow was filled with happy animals who had received personalized help. They realized that sometimes, it’s better to get help from someone who can give you their full attention, even if they are smaller.

The Mighty Elephant Group continued to be grand and busy, but the Clever Fox Boutique became known as the place where each animal felt truly cared for.

And so, the animals in the forest learned that bigger isn't always better. Sometimes, a small, clever fox can help you in ways that a mighty elephant cannot.
